RICOCHET is a documentary film that tells the story of the historic trial following the tragic incident at Pier 14 in San Francisco when a young woman named Kate Steinle was killed by the ricochet of a bullet accidentally fired by an undocumented immigrant. The incident sparked a political and media firestorm–spearheaded by the anti-immigrant rhetoric of presidential candidate Donald J. Trump–that rattled the nation, exploited the tragedy of a family, and demonized an innocent man in the process
Ricochet screened at over fifty festivals around the world is now streaming on Apple TV, Amazon Prime and Tubi
Produced and directed by late San Francisco Public Defender Jeff Adachi
and Chihiro Wimbush
I designed titles and publicity and worked as an associate producer.

MURMURATION
MURUMURATION is a film about creativity, grief, and the uncanny. The story concerns a scruffy photographer who is couch-surfing at his eccentric, composer-uncle’s apartment. With a nod to both Cocteau’s "Orpheus" and Jarmusch’s "Stranger Than Paradise," the film offers a wry, deadpan depiction of our digitally intermediated lives while portraying the two characters’ attempts to bond over shared grief. It asks a number of questions, including, What is a murmuration? and, Can a film be one?
